    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The up to three leaves of Moraea lewisiae subsp. lewisiae grow spaced and sessile from the lower stem. They are long, narrow and may trail or twist, becoming about 5 mm wide. The linear blades are channelled without midribs (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; iNaturalist; https://www.fernkloof.org.za).
