    Euryops multifidus leaves

    Euryops multifidus leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The fleshy leaves of Euryops multifidus are crowded at and near stem-tips. The lower leaf part is cylindrical before it forks into three to five more cylindrical lobes. The pale green leaves are hairless and leathery.

The plant’s Afrikaans common name of hanepootharpuisbos (rooster foot resin bush) refers to the distinctive leaf-shape of this Euryops. The leaves are from 6 mm to 35 mm long (Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
