Calobota cytisoides fruiting may resemble getting dressed in an army camp moments after the reveille bugle has sounded. If shots were heard, thought to be fired by an approaching enemy, the urgency would become maddening.

The loose brown corolla bits being discarded fit undressing better than dressing but are appropriate in the confused state. The fact that some fruits are long and straight, others short and curved might detract from the imagery, but soldiers look different and matters of life and death, including fruit production, call for desperate measures (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
