    Calobota cytisoides flowers and fruits

    Calobota cytisoides flowers and fruits
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Racemes of Calobota cytisoides flowers and pods would rub shoulders here if they had any. The plant was seen in the Biedouw Valley during September.

The flowers point outwards, the pods hang down. The calyx forms a much smaller proportion of the fruit’s length than it does of the flower (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
