    Tritonia gladiolaris leaves

    Tritonia gladiolaris leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The leaves of Tritonia gladiolaris may be few to many, spreading in a fan-shape. The leaves are sword-shaped, tapering to acutely pointed tips, some of them veering to one side in the plane of the fan.

The leaves have prominent midribs as well as thickened margins. Leaves become up to 30 cm long and 1 cm wide. Here pictured in the challenging Little Karoo climate they are much shorter (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
