    A Crassula pellucida subsp. brachypetala stem-tip may at bloomtime be loaded with buds in different stages of development. The upper leaves ascend around the buds like floral bracts.

    Upper leaf margins as well as sepal tip margins in picture are purple, as are the pedicels and upper stems. No leaf-base hairiness can be detected in the photo (Smith, et al, 2017; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
