    Cassine peragua flowers all over

    Cassine peragua flowers all over
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Cassine peragua flower clusters make up for their looseness by being numerous. At peak bloomtime there are inflorescences growing from many of the upper stem leaf axils. This floral profusion makes a difference in the strength of the fragrance around the tree.

The photo was taken in February when C. peragua flowering normally commences (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; Venter, 2012; iNaturalist).
