    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The inflorescence of Trigonocapnos lichtensteinii is a long, narrow, terminal raceme, from 7 cm to 10 cm long, comprising up to 30 flowers.

The flowers grow on thin, curved purplish pedicels from the sturdy, central axis. Each flower is subtended by a narrow, tapering bract.

Flowering happens from before midwinter to after midspring. The photo was taken in September (Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
