    Moraea inconspicua old inflorescence

    Moraea inconspicua old inflorescence
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The inclined Moraea inconspicua inflorescence in picture is flanked by two, long narrow leaves. One flower is open, while green and brown fruits are developing at several branch tips.

Pairs of green or brown spathes cover the old and new flower bases, all narrow and elongated (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Moriarty, 1997; iNaturalist).
