    Agelanthus natalitius subsp. zeyheri leaves

    Agelanthus natalitius subsp. zeyheri leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The simple, deciduous leaves of Agelanthus natalitius subsp. zeyheri grow opposite on short stalks, mostly on short side-branches.

The elliptic to obovate leaves taper to their rounded tips and to the bases. The leaf margins are entire. The blades are leathery or fleshy, grey-green on both surfaces and hairy. Leaf dimensions are 2 cm to 7 cm long and 1 cm to 2 cm wide (Pooley, 1998; Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; iNaturalist).
