Antimima paucifolia flowers

The small flowers of Antimima paucifolia grow solitary at stem-tips. Purplish pink in colour, the petals spread around a central cone or cylinder of white-anthered stamens and possibly staminodes.

The petals are sometimes gathered in up to five bunches around the centre, pushed by the (five) sepals. Flowering mainly happens late in autumn but the season may be longer. Flowers open in the morning closing at dusk.

The fruit mostly have five locules with large closing bodies (Smith, et al, 1998; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
