Nerine humilis flowers
Author: Ivan Lätti
Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The flowers of Nerine humilis grow in a hemispherical head on a sturdy, solid scape that is somewhat compressed. The leaves are dry or just emerging when the plant flowers.

The flowers are pale to dark pink, up to 3 cm long, their pedicels hairless. Flowering happens from before midautumn to early winter (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
