Ferraria variabilis style branches

The flower of Ferraria variabilis have three stamens arising from the base of the outer tepals in the cup. Their filaments are united below in a column around the style. The anthers are below but close to the hair-like style-branches that are bunched in V-shapes, concealing the anthers (Manning, 2007; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000).
