Author: Ivan Lätti

This profusely flowering Aptosimum lineare var. lineare plant has produced a new branch of pale, out-curving, hairy leaves.

The deep blue to pale blue, rounded petal lobes are black near the base where they become the corolla tube that is white lower down. The lobes are similar, not quite identical in the corolla that deviates only slightly from being radially symmetric.

The outside of the corolla tube is dull blue and longitudinally striped. The green, five-lobed calyx is short (JSTOR; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
