    During an early flower stage the Annesorhiza altiscapa florets display rabbit ears like this. Or is it a victory sign? The buds have opened only slightly so far.

    There are thread-like bracts below where the umbels branch. A tiny scale-like stem-leaf or two are also in view (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
