    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

These Lebeckia pauciflora flowers crossing each other have two to four tiny bracts at the base also crossing as if signalling something.

On display are the dull coppery calyces and mainly some wing petals. The petals have a few faint brown markings scattered on their outer surfaces.

The flower is 10 mm to 12 mm long. It fades to orange-red (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
