Thesium euphorbioides leaves, bracts, buds and flowers
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The leathery, grey-green leaves of Thesium euphorbioides are ovate to nearly circular and somewhat heart-shaped at the base. The surface is shaped like a shallow bowl, slightly curving in along the margins and quite similar to the pale yellow bracts around the flower clusters.

The leaves are alternate, ascending and sessile upon the pale upper stems. Old stems below are darker and leafless (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; iNaturalist).
