    Disa bolusiana bracts
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The pale triangular bracts of Disa bolusiana show their usually visible, reticulate veining readily. The bracts that remain erect on the inflorescences of the species are ovate, tapering or attenuating to their pale purplish tips.

Close behind some of the flowers (those facing away from the camera), the long thin spurs of the flowers can be seen pointing down. The fleshy D. bolusiana flower spurs become 16 mm to 25 mm long and have acute tips (Marais, et al, 2017; Liltved and Johnson, 2012; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
