The fruit of Solanum linnaeanum is a yellow, spherical berry of about 2,5 cm in diameter. It starts off green with irregularly shaped, pale blotches on the shiny surface, ripening to an evenly coloured light or bright yellow as shown here.
The long, narrow sepals are also embellished with the fairly ubiquitous spines characterising the plant. They still clutch the base of the fruit in the picture, finger-like (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Privett and Lutzeyer, 2010; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist; iSpot).
