    Pelargonium glutinosum yellow leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

These leaves of Pelargonium glutinosum show the acutely angular marginal lobes and spaced teeth one expects in this species. The characteristic shape and size of the lobes near the leaf base plus the pattern of the teeth on the margins give the leaves a special charm. Note the secondary lobes at the base pointing backwards.

Even the yellowing coming with the onset of the dry summer season adds to the allure. These leaves were photographed in a kloof of the Rooiberg (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist; www.plantzafrica.com).
