These Babiana ringens flowers seen in August at Grotto Bay are neatly arranged in their two ranks near the stem base. The central parts of the corollas are dark yellow in a broad band with only tepal tips being shades of pink. A brighter yellow form of this plant is also seen.

These flowers look different to others shown in this Album. It is thought to be B. ringens subsp. australis. The plant, although low-growing, managed to get its inflorescence above the foliage of the dense coastal scrub where some Tetragonia leaves are notable (Manning, 2014).
