Tylecodon paniculatus leaves

The succulent leaves of the botterboom, Tylecodon paniculatus, are summer deciduous. They are shiny fresh green to yellowish green and hairless, apart from a short period after newly sprouting. The leaf shape is broadly ovate, tapering to a pointed tip. The leaf margins are entire. Leaves are clustered at stem tips, appearing on new stem growth. The leaves are usually about 5 cm long, occasionally up to 12 cm long and 8 cm wide.
