    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Ivan Lätti

The leaves of Hermannia desertorum are small and pale grey-green with fine woolly surfaces that bulge upwards between the straight lateral veins and along the midrib. The leaf shape is ovate and the margins are irregularly scalloped and lobed (Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008).
