    Wild peach flowers dangle in axillary heads from the young branchlets if the tree is male, as shown in this picture. The female flowers are solitary, also in the leaf axils, growing on separate trees. Flowering occurs from August until January. The flowers are yellow-green to greenish-white. They open to about 1 cm in diameter (Schmidt, et al, 2002; Coates Palgrave, 2002).
