Buddleja auriculata

Buddleja auriculata, the weeping sagewood, is a multi-stemmed shrub or occasionally a small tree. Its flexible branches arch outwards, drooping to the ground around the centre. The bark is grey to brown and hairy.

The plant has tiny leaf-like stipules between the petioles of each pair of its opposite leaves. These stipules have been deemed ear-shaped, giving rise to the specific epithet of auriculata (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002).
