    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The simple leaves of Asclepias praemorsa grow opposite, long and thin. Green and thread-like, the leaves are longitudinally grooved on their upper surfaces. The stalkless leaves spread, curving down slightly and evenly to their tips.

The leaf dimensions are from 3 cm to 11,5 cm long but only 1 mm to 3 mm wide (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
