    The twist in Leucadendron linifolium leaves can sometimes be as pronounced and concerted as in the "stationary rotational" stem-tip in picture. Long, and narrow, the curved blades are unevenly and sparsely hairy.

    The thickened, cartilaginous leaf tips are pinkish red. They are also among the earliest parts to develop in tomorrow’s leaves right in the stem-tip centre.

    The photo was taken at Fisherhaven near Hermanus (Bean and Johns, 2005; Mustart, et al, 1997; iNaturalist).
