Author: Ivan Lätti
Photographer: Louis Jordaan

The simple, alternate leaves of Osteospermum junceum have long petioles, the leaves borne erectly.

The leaf-shape is lanceolate to elliptic or oblanceolate, the margins toothed and the blades cobwebby with woolliness when young. Leaf dimensions are up to 12 cm long by 4 cm wide, the leaves decreasing in size up the stems (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
