Jasminum multipartitum flowers
Author: Ivan Lätti
Photographer: Piet Grobler

The fragrant flowers of Jasminum multipartitum grow solitary at stem-tips. Up to eleven narrowly oblong petal lobes spread at the tip of each 35 mm long corolla tube. The corolla diameter is about 30 mm.

The flower mouth is small, the stamens and style included but sometimes visible near the mouth.

The floral profusion is usually on display from late winter until after midsummer (Pooley, 1998; Onderstall, 1984; Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; iNaturalist).
