Tritonia bakeri subsp. lilacina flower profiles

Tritonia bakeri subsp. lilacina flower profiles
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

On the outside of the Tritonia bakeri subsp. lilacina flowers the vein lines appear darker than inside. They continue down onto the creamy, narrow corolla tubes. Pinkish colouring is unevenly distributed on adjacent tepals in picture.

The cup-shape of the young tepals spreads more widely into a shallow bowl in older flowers (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Moriarty, 1997; iNaturalist; https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
