Gloriosa rigidifolia flower

The longish, ascending pedicels of Gloriosa rigidifolia flowers curve down near their upper ends, causing the flowers to nod. The six perianth segments are free to the base, broadly ovate while attenuating to acutely pointed tips. Nearly parallel vein lines are visible on the segments against the light.
