Ferraria divaricata may also flower predominantly yellow. The deep, rounded cup of the corolla has a triangular rim outside of which the long, obscurely pointed tepal lobes end in bright yellow, crisped and wavy margins. The blackish blue tepal centre parts are darker along their vein lines. The yellow towards the inner parts of the tepals tend to dull greenish.

The protruding, clustered thin threads in which the style branches end over the flower centre can hardly be missed by incoming pollinators arriving by air (Le Roux, et al, 2005; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; iNaturalist).
