Asclepias eminens flower cluster

The flat-topped, umbel-shaped inflorescences of Asclepias eminens grow at stem-tips in clusters of three to six.
The large, whitish petals or corolla lobes become strongly reflexed, the smaller, also pointed, pale sepals are visible behind them through the gaps between the petals.
Flowering happens in spring and summer or during a shorter season towards the middle of that period (Pooley, 1998; Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; JSTOR; iNaturalist).
