    Grielum humifusum

    Grielum humifusum
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Grielum humifusum is working hard in the sands of Tietiesbaai, as flowers, fruits and yet more buds are proving. Hard work can in certain cases be done while positioned like this.

The leaf lobes are too round-tipped to qualify easily as those of G. grandiflora, while there is just a hint of the usual whitish corolla base of the former species (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; iNaturalist).
