Cotula duckittiae old flowerhead

The ageing Cotula duckittiae flowerhead has its oblong ray floret blades here turning brown before the disc florets lose their colour. The much shorter involucral bracts below are green as earlier with maroon margins.

The leaves don’t reach near the flowerheads in height (Manning, 2009; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
