Cleretum bellidiforme, the well-known Livingstone daisy and in Afrikaans bokbaaivygie (Bok Bay mesemb), is an annual, succulent herb that spreads on sandy ground along the west coast.

The plants flower late in winter and early in spring, profusely and in several colours, sometimes bicoloured. Gardeners often sow the seeds for repeating the colourful display at home next spring (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007, iNaturalist).
