    Anginon difforme fruit

    Anginon difforme fruit
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Green and dry fruits in the same Anginon difforme umbels were seen at Nature’s Valley during May. The barrel-shaped green fruits have rings around the top.

The dry fruits are reduced in size and grey to brown before they drop off (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Coates Palgrave, 2002; iNaturalist; http://worldfloraonline.org).
