Lachenalia membranacea pointed leaf
Author: Ivan Lätti
Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

These Lachenalia membranacea plants have pointed leaves angled up, albeit with a marginal twist. Faint, purple spots are present upon the upper surfaces of the solitary, stem-sheathing leaves.

Flowering is about over, the withering perianths here whitish with pink-purple tips. Flowering happens from before midwinter to early spring. The photo was taken in September (iNaturalist; www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
