Cyanella hyacinthoides flower from behind

The Cyanella hyacinthoides flower seen from behind has spreading, bulging or wavy tepals. A big bract at the pedicel base and a smaller, opposing one halfway up, are in view on the upcurved and abruptly bent pedicel tip.

Short, green stripes are visible on a whitish background at the flower base on the outside, before the blue colouring commences (Le Roux, et al, 2005; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; iNaturalist).
