Gloveria integrifolia branched inflorescence

The sparsely branched Gloveria integrifolia inflorescence in picture grows from the tip of a bare side-branchlet; also sometimes from leaf fascicles.

The red-purple pedicels are long and straight. The five short sepals taper to obtusely pointed tips in the somewhat flattened, globose buds. The calyx is mostly out of sight in open flowers, once the larger petals spread or become slightly reflexed (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Coates Palgrave, 2002; iNaturalist).
