Leucadendron nobile leaves

The leaves of Leucadendron nobile are needle-like, spiralling or scattered and curving up to erect on the young stems. The leaf is slightly grooved on its upper surface, rounded below and sharp-tipped. Leaves are up to 6 cm long and 0,15 cm thick, bigger on female plants.

Stem-tip leaves are pale grey-green to blue-green, becoming darker with age, never brightly coloured. Involucral leaves are sometimes discoloured cream or ivory. They are slightly flexed down at the base and curving up to spread, not covering the cones (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
