A large Erica sparsa bush may display ample bare, woody stem parts below the dense masses of seasonal flowers. The large, many-flowered sprays, rather than individual flowers represent the floral effect in this floriferous heath plant (Manning and Helme, 2024; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
