Othonna parviflora leaves in different stages

Othonna parviflora leaves in different stages
Author: Ivan Lätti

Several Othonna parviflora leaf stages are on display here:

Small green ones curve up close to the stem, becoming glaucous when mature and dull orange-yellow in age. Fine, spaced toothing and marginal discoloration is evident in the middle stages on the leaves in picture. In the last stage, shrivelled and brown-grey, the leaves have lost their upturned orientation, drooping in dry clusters over the lower stems before they fall.

The lower stems are naked and leaf-scarred (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007).
