Something of the slender flower tube of Gladiolus undulatus is visible in this oblique view. The flower tube becomes 5 cm to 7,5 cm long, slightly longer than the tepals. Each flower is enveloped by two soft-textured green bracts around the tepal bases where they are still joined. The inner bract is covered by the outer.
The upper parts of the three upper tepals have wavy margins. The white stigma branches are thicker towards their tips. The dull cream anthers, suspended at midpoint on their filaments, have black hairs especially on their lower surfaces (Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; Goldblatt and Manning, 1998; iNaturalist).
