A Strophanthus speciosus inflorescence is a stem-tip, corymb-shaped cluster consisting of up to 16 flowers. In picture they are surrounded by ascending, stem-tip leaves. The flowers tend to follow each other in sequence, singly or small groups, not all opening concurrently. The elongating smaller buds change from green to yellow (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Pooley, 1998; Onderstall, 1996; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org).
