The fragrant flowers of a Brunsvigia bosmaniae umbel are usually of roughly the same colour, be it a shade of pink or nearly white. In this case flowers of nearly white to deep pink are scattered all over the same umbel.

This phenomenon is thought to relate to factors such as nutrient availability, soil acidity or microclimatic differences causing the pigment variation. Parts of the meristem in a plant may also produce flowers with slightly different pigmentation. Flower age may play a role here. Not to forget hybridisation as a possible cause (Duncan, et al, 2016; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
