The maroon Brachystelma pulchellum flowers with spreading corolla lobes grow solitary or in pairs from upper nodes. The five pointed lobe tips taper and attenuate variably. These lobes can be 4 mm long and 1,5 mm wide. The corolla margin is rolled under. Calyx lobes behind the corolla are sometimes visible from the front.

Inside the corolla there is a stalkless corona in two concentric, lobed parts, about 3 mm wide, arising from the staminal column. The purple outer corona is bowl-shaped consisting of five small pouches alternating with the anthers and below them. The inner corona consists of five thin, finger-like, purple lobes, 0,5 mm long. They lie on the backs of the anthers towards the centre. The whitish staminal column is 1 mm long. The style head bulges.

The fruit is one or two erect, spindle-shaped follicles per flower. The seeds have hairy crowns functional in wind dispersal (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.llifle.com).
