Polygala virgata var. virgata stalked flowers drooping

Depending on the resolve in the stem, a Polygala virgata inflorescence may be erect, angled or drooping. The feathery crests show best when the flowers are fully open. The pair of enlarged, petal-like sepals shielding the rest of the floral stuff for some time can be bicoloured in white and pink purple in parts. The colouring is scattered somewhat in accordance with the venation in the limbs, and the age of the flowers. The plant in this photo is thought to be var. virgata (Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
