The stamens of Pelargonium articulatum flowers differ in the few-flowered umbel. The younger, creamier flower has bright orange anthers from being covered in ripe pollen. In the older flower where the pollen is used up, the anthers are dark purple, to blackish. The short, hairy sepals in view spread wider than the petals.
Only three long-pedicelled flowers make up this inflorescence. Bloomtime is from before midspring to early summer (Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
