These Pelargonium longicaule flowers have only two lower (anterior) petals, narrower and shorter than the upper (posterior) petal pairs that curve back more strongly. Some P. longicaule flowers have three lower petals. The nearly open flower shows yellow on its petal outer surfaces, the open flowers here white on the inside.
There is a nodding cluster of yet short-stalked buds lower than the open flowers in picture. The longicaule specific name refers to the long peduncle of the cluster of buds, not the pedicels holding up the individual flowers (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; iNaturalist; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
